Results after 3 months on the starter subscription. Strongly considering quitting while i’m ahead for the following reasons:
Profit is way ahead of CLV. No doubt a downturn is on the horizon…
I’ve been benefitting from reduced subscription fees for the first 3 months but will start paying full price in January
I’m restricted on my 3 highest volume bookies (365, Bwin, 32red). I think i will struggle to get the turnover to make anything more than about £200pm going forwards, which doesn’t leave much profit after fees are deducted.
In summary, just feel like i will regret it in January if i pay the full £90 fees, inevitably have a period of negative variance and lose big a chunk of the profits i’ve made so far, and will then end up struggling to make that money back because i’ve lost my 3 biggest accounts. Feel like i could walk away pretty happy having made £1.2k in 3 months.
Hi ALaw94, good question, I’m asking myself a similar question - although I’m not ahead.
After trying this for 1 month, 2233 bets later, and I have made 6 GBP. That is some effort, and the conclusion after one month is that I have laboured many hours (takes some time just to get used to navigating around the various sites) and in the end did not even make enough to cover the monthly fee. I’m actually more like -75 GBP due to mistakes made in the first couple of weeks (trying to get pace and spend less time, so placing incorrect bets or not checking that odds are matching).
So similarly I would ask - why should I keep going? I must be very unlucky.
Yeah that’s some tough luck. I was in the red for a long while but at around the 2000 bet mark I suddenly had an upswing. If it was me I would be inclined to stick with it until I made some profit so at least you didn’t waste your time. Maybe try increasing your stake size so hopefully when the positive variance comes you maximise the profits. But ultimately if you’re finding it too much effort for too little reward, don’t force yourself to carry on. I’m not planning to renew my subscription after this month.
I’ve had a pretty lousy 10 weeks. I do not plan to quit because I have been through rough patches like this before and always came out with good profit on the other size. But whats upp with that 3£ avg stake size?
That is like betting on a limited account.
